Asha Bhosle was an extraordinary personality. She excelled in both the ups and downs of life and the challenges related to music. In both these fields, she performed brilliantly, always moving forward, facing every difficulty in life, and reaching her goals. She was truly magnificent personality. Asha Bhosale made her debut in marathi films with the song “Chala chala Nav Bala” from the movie Majha Bal in 1943 when she was about ten years old. Throughout her career, she received major honour like the National Film Award for best female playback singer twice, the Filmfare Best Female Playback Award seven times, the Dada Saheb Phalke Award in 2000, and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008. She sang in more than 20 languages and recorded over 12000 songs. Her contribution to the Indian Film Industry is extraordinary and it can never be forgotten.
